Zoom Class Attendance Policy
By attending our classes via Zoom, you agree to follow the Nevada Real Estate Division’s rules for distance education attendance.

It is the attendee’s responsibility to know these rules, which are part of the Division’s official guidelines.

To qualify for certification through Zoom attendance, attendees must adhere to the following:

1) Video Must Be On at All Times

  • Attendees must have their video on and remain visible throughout the class.

  • Do not wear items that obscure your face, such as hats or dark sunglasses.

  • Ensure your environment has adequate lighting for clear visibility.

  • Virtual backgrounds may interfere with visibility and are not recommended.

  • Position your camera so that your entire face is visible.

  • Attendees with video off will be removed from class. No exceptions.

2) Participation Is Required

  • Attendees will be asked questions during the class and must respond.

  • Responses may be given via chat or microphone.

  • Keep your microphone muted unless participating.

3) Remain Stationary and Attentive

Attendees may not:

  • Be driving or riding in a moving vehicle.

  • Attend other meetings, whether in person or online.

  • Lie down or recline during class.

Division Guideline: If you wouldn’t be allowed to do it in a physical classroom, you cannot do it on Zoom.

4) Attendee Identification Is Required

  • Attendees should use their registered name and license number as their Zoom screen name.

  • Attendees will also be asked to provide their name and license number in the Zoom chat.

  • If the proctor cannot confirm your identity, you will not receive credit.

5) Registration Required

6) Removal Due to Violation

  • Attendees removed from class for violating any of these rules will not be eligible for a refund or reschedule.
